Before you step foot into the world of the SENSES concert, get to know Wendy’s previous works where her musical talent is the highlight of an extravagant theatrical experience.
“Seasons: A Magical Musical” follows the journey of Faith, a young girl who gives up her passion in music to pursue a more practical life by prioritizing work and family. She loses herself in the process until a mysterious magician discovers her crying on a park bench, where he picks up the pieces of her life to guide her on a magical voyage through the four seasons.
Together, Faith and the Magician escape into a new chapter of life filled with Spring’s blooming flowers, serenaded by birds singing and the infinite blue sky. They traverse through the joy and spontaneity of Summer, all while surrounded by the beach and ocean, appreciating the beauty and playfulness that life can give. Autumn brings on whimsical change with mischief and magic, the trees turn red, orange, yellow, showing that change and returning to childlike wonder is okay. Faith rediscovers her true self as Winter approaches, representing the maturity and spirit of the holiday season, where she is reconnected to music with a gifted violin and accompanied by her family.
Wendy’s music guides the audience through these seasons with moving instrumentals, delivering messages that are beyond what a script or lyrics can express. Her work is, quite literally, magical. She tells the rich story of life and brings everyone on a journey that experiences life’s ups and downs in a new light.
